The 12 best sandwiches to eat on the go in Paris (2024)

Paris is a party, but Paris is also super knowledgeable in the field of delicious street food. Because we live in a city that never stops spinning, isn't it ideal to have our little favorite addresses where we know that a quick snack will always be a success?Chez Alain Miam MiamAlain Miam Miam is a bit of a maestro when it comes to quick snacks. It's true, he has nothing left to prove to us... but how could we get tired of it? Forget about the old ham and butter sandwiches from the corner bakery that have become so dry that no one would think of eating them. Alain Miam Miam, on the other hand, offers a list of ingredients that would make the market gardeners blush, huge breads, and a little toasting to seal the deal... We're crazy about it.

The Favorite

As the name suggests, it is one of those must-visit places where you go to grab a bite. Mamiche bakery breads, recipes created, imagined, and made on the same day by the chef. The menu? Like our beloved Chinese canteens, it is numbered. Our favorite number? Number 40: soft bun, pan-fried farm chicken, red cabbage, and treasure sauce... So, what do you think?

Plan D

The storefront of this street-food shop located between the canal and rue des Vinaigriers doesn't leave anyone indifferent. Veggie, seasonal, sustainable, colorful, driven by true expertise and above all very tasty... The sandwiches change with the months and highlight the vegetables of the season in all their splendor. For each recipe, a beautiful crispy breaded piece with cornflakes, vegetables cooked in various ways (roasted, burned, pickled, mashed, marinated, carpaccio...), and three homemade sauces, including a spicy mayo and an irresistible smoked juice simmered for hours.

Plan D - DWICH & GLACE
22, rue des Vinaigriers - 10th
Open every day from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. (until 7 p.m. on Sundays)

Candide

The nugget we needed this year. At the standing table of Candide Belleville, we devour small sandwiches whose recipe changes from one day to another, and whether you enjoy them on site or take them away, we can assure you, the ingredients are always fresh. Our favorite? The pulled pork composed of pickles, onions and coleslaw, all nestled in wonderful soft buns. Are you feeling happy yet? We certainly are.

Pig's Character

Everything is good in the pig, and this address is the best place to prove it to us. In all simplicity, you wouldn't suspect it, but the ham and butter sandwich there is so gourmet that you will have a hard time not being speechless. Farmhouse ham or cooked in the hay, Bordier butter spread on a delicious baguette. And of course... To be enjoyed like at grandma's house.

42, rue Charlot - 3rd

From 10:30 am to 8:00 pm every day
10:00 am - 3:00 pm on Sundays

Montezuma

Montezuma is a place that delivers. Chef Julia Della – coming from the fine gastronomy world – has a blast every day at creating mouth-watering sandwiches to please the taste buds of savory lovers. We let ourselves be seduced by the delicious brioche bun that is simply delightful to bite into, and by the crazy delicious seasoning that keeps making us drool. Come on, stop dreaming, it's always better to go there.

Sando Club

There are treasures that we would like to keep a secret. But for you, we have decided to sacrifice ourselves. Here is Sando Club. Nestled in the heart of the 11th arrondissem*nt, this cozy little canteen is a hit with its wide selection of colorful delights. We then set our sights on the Torikatsu, a sandwich made from Japanese white bread, breaded chicken with panko and sesame, spinach sprouts, red and white cabbage, carrots, and pickled red onions, all wrapped in a sweet and spicy sauce. It's a killer sandwich.

Adriana and Margot

Here, we enjoy sandwiches that we can customize ourselves, made with "bagel" bread (onions, poppy seeds...), but thankfully without the hole in the middle! We add two caviars of our choice - eggplants, mushrooms, black or green olives, sun-dried tomatoes, tarama, etc. - along with cheese, vegetables, and cold cuts... And to finish off? We choose our meat (turkey, pastrami...). A delight from the first bite, and enough to become addicted.

Homer Lobster

Not surprisingly, their lobster roll was named the best in the world in 2018. Their best-seller, and one of our favorites, is the Connecticut: lightly warmed Breton lobster, seasoned with lemon butter and a secret blend of aromatic herbs, served in a buttery and toasted artisan bread... Oh, so delicious to bite into.

The Yellow Boutique - Sacha Finkelsztajn

A storefront so bright yellow that you just have to go in. A Yiddish sandwich shop, where every product is delicious and tempting... On the menu: traditional breads remastered in multiple variations, and accompaniments from all over the Mediterranean and much more (chickpeas from Israel, Greek tarama, paprika cheese from Hungary...) And of course, you can create your own sandwiches just the way you like them, just like at home... .

Salatim

Attention, attention! If you haven't yet discovered this little eatery in the center of Paris, you absolutely must catch up. Besides the delicious Salatim - generous vegetarian plates (hummus, fennel, eggplant caviar, sautéed carrots...) - which can be accompanied, if desired, by grilled kefhta, our absolute favorite goes to the schnitzel sandwich. A baguette filled with breaded chicken cutlet and fresh vegetables... How about taking a trip to Tel Aviv without leaving Paris?

Snack Attack

BOOM! Opened just a few months ago, this shop on Rochechouart street is making a splash. Between noon and two, we love diving into their specialty that has been featured on almost every foodie's Instagram lately: the Mega Mega Focaccia. A huge focaccia stuffed with creamy Italian tomato sauce, tender beef deliciousness, and oozing provolone... All for - still a reasonable - 11 euros. It's a mouthwatering experience.
